Glasbake Milk Glass Casserole |
Last week I bought a lovely milk glass casserole in the shape of a fish. It just arrived and I love it. It came with a basket so the casserole can go from oven to table. Baked fish recipes from the manufacturer and the original box were part of the purchase too. Glasbake was part of the McKee Glass Company. It says on some of the original paperwork that came with the casserole that both were a division of the Thatcher Glass Company. Thatcher bought McKee (and Glasbake) in the 1940's and sold the company in 1961. So I can sort of date my new fish between the 40's and 1961 which makes the fish a Retro Fish. Ha! Actually, you could date me the same way. Which is vague and the way I like it. Have a good day.
